Made it to Florida 2 !!!!!

And For My 100th Post here it goes!!!!
We had a Great Day down here in Cape Coral

Myself, Good friend Glen (yes my name is Glen too) and his inlaw Will met friend Paul at daybreak. Took Pauls boat down towards pine Island and started pitching Yozuri's and Mirro lures with great success! Action was instant, boating ladyfish and short trout as fast as you could cast. Amazing the numbers we found all over the flats.

About 9:30 I caught the first icebox trout pushing 17 inches.

Yanked a few more ladyfish (love to watch them dance around)

By noon I landed 2 more kepper trout. Will topped me with one stretching to over 22". He also boated his first ever Snook!

We hit a calm flat and pitched some cut bait, and power, Will hooked up with a nice shark running near 6ft! After a good battle he managed to bite the leader just a few foot from the boat. Got use all pumped and excited and just made the day!

Started to head back home and hit a few fast moving spots along sand bars. Alot of trout (all short) lady fish and even a few snapper. They the beast showed himself. 3 ft of water and 6 ft of fish. TARPON Never got any shots at him but was still awsome to see.

Made a few last casts and got hit hard by a bluefish! 10lb power pro and light rods made a great match. This blue had an attitude! Must of took lessons from the shark! When I finally got him over the rail the hook pulled and thank god it landed on the floor! Not an offshore monster, but definatly a prize! And left some pretty cool battle scars on the Yozuri.

All in all I would say between the four of use, we had caught:

4 keeper trout, Over 40 shorts
20 lady fish
4 sail cats
1 snook
1 jack
1 blue
7 mangrove snappers
almost 1 shark
1 lizardfish

We had a great day! This is why I come to FLORIDA!

Took the little boat out today just off Sanibel fishing pier and drifted about half mile towards Ft myers beach. Hooked up with a limit of Spanish macks, 4 sail cats, 4 grunt, 1 jack, 1 Bonnet shark. Tide and wind was fighting me but had a good day!

My girl also got to see 3 manatees (just outside the toll booth boat ramp) so I earned a good month of brownie points!
