Mad tree rat!

I took a walk out back today with a friend to look at deer sign and was attacked by a freakin grey tree rat! f'n thing came right at me squeekin and shit I had to drop kick it into a tree and the little shit got back up and came again. I picked up a log and mashed it's skull. All this time I have a 275lbs elctrician squeeling like a little girl sumpin about rabis. Anyone ever had this happen to them? I had a rabid woodchuck come at me once ( in NJ Stokes nat. forest) I put down with my bow. What's next mad cows?

At the college I went to we had a ton of squirrels on campus. Every so often one would get out of hand and go after someone. Never had it happen personally though.

You needed a Jack Russel Terrier! We watched ours kill six rats in about five minutes once. No foolin' around - like a cat who will play and torture and decapitate. He was all business - some innate behavior kicked in and he was king!! He would corner one, grab it by the neck and give it a couple of quick jerks to break the neck and then crush the skull. Gringo said he couldn't have shot the rat as quickly as Dooley killed it.
