Loss of a great American

I saw today that Charlton Heston passed on saturday. As a child i remember watching his movies Ben Hur, Ten Comandments, Omega Man and others he was a wonderful actor and a great American who took a stand for what he believed in. I for one am sad to see him go he had been quiet for the last few years battling alzeimers. Always thought if you could here God speak aloud he'd sound like Charlton Heston, just my opinion.

A true American..... married his wife at age 20... Can you believe he was married for her for 64 years ... You just don't hear of that any more...

I saw that he past away when I watching some late night VS. on TV saturday evening. First thing I thought about was how nice and level headed he was when I met him at the NRA show I was working at in Charlotte some years back. Nothing formal just a hand shake and a smile. Still a sad loss for family and friends of his. Glad to know that he will not be suffering from Alzheimers any longer.

He was a great man who stood up for what he believed was right. A true rare breed.

Sorry to see him go, but glad to know he is in a better place.

Mr. Heston's name still makes my liberal friends quiver..... He will be missed.
