I always see reports with references to Loran numbers. Is there a chart or website I can reference these numbers to get an idea of where "exactly" these reports are talking about?
Thanks,
Tim

You'll be "well informed" by the end of next week. Leave that blessed rabbit's foot of your's at home too!!! Frank
Even though the Loran system is now shut down the Charts are still available at most tackle stores on the coast.

Also click on terpSSTpro.com
It's an SST shot that has an overly feature you can use to get LORAN lines

Maps Unique makes a nice laminated waterproof Grease chart - GPS on one side, Loran on the other. There are 3 charts offered for NC Waters - If I remember correctly - Little River to New River, New River to Ocracoke, Ocracoke to Oregon Inlet...
It is pretty easy to cross-reference your GPS numbers with your LORAN position with those.
plenty of maps still around.....
just like the game of "Battleship"......match the lat/long coordinate grid and it's a "hit"....![]()
Thanks guys! I checked out the SST page and figured a bit out.
I'm sure it'll be a work in progress but I now have something to reference it off of.

It's very, very complicated. You'll never get it. You're destined to baiting hook's and icing fish, get used to it.Frank
You make it sound like I don't know anything about my camera. If it had more memory the camera would weigh more. I don't want to be carrying a heavier camera around all day. Just no need in working harder than necessary. Frank
