looking for 1-2 for tomorrow - Report Added

A friend and I are trying to put together a trip for tomorrow to 40 +/- out of Snead's Ferry on a 28' Sailfish. We plan on some trolling then bottom fishing for a while. We need 2 to make it a go right now. Give me a call if interested. 910-478-8808. Matt

Have you tried Mack and/or Jesse?

Got the boat full. Good luck to anyone else heading out tomorrow.

Jim- Didn't even get to PM's and phone calls before the other guys called back and had filled it up! Picked up a sandflea today at EJW- can't wait to try it out!

What color did you get? Looking forward to the report. Going to still be several weeks before I can go again.

I got the pot roast looking one. It will have first drop advantage tomorrow!

I also lost a 240g green/glow to a toothy critter a couple weeks ago. Didn't even feel the strike- bit clean through. That's what keeps you coming back!

I feel really good about that one in particular for our fishery.

Went out this AM 35-40miles off NRI. Slow day trolling, but found a floating tree branch that held a ton of dolphin. Biggest about 15lbs, but the first timers we had on board loved it. In addition to bait, we managed a few on poppers and jigs. The only things we picked up trolling were a few cuda- biggest about 5 feet long, one dolphin (on a chartreuse/blue ilander/bally), and a really small AJ. Tried a few drops with jigs and had a couple big hookups/break offs/hook pulls. Flatside in green/silver and blue/silver and Eastern Tackle Sandflea's were the hot jigs (this is what I got the dolphin and a huge mystery fish hookup on).

We did have a Discovery Channel moment when we spotted a school of large sharks (all 6ft+) chasing Albacore on the surface. It was an amazing site to see that school of albies look so helpless and the size of some of the sharks. Of course we donated a couple lures to them we we trolled by thinking it was just albies at first. Wish I would have taken the time to get a picture or video of it.
