An interesting aside that some might be interested in...the fellow on the right, Henry Maze, is the first person to catch a wahoo on a bar (the same one in the picture, in fact) on a San Diego long range boat, the Red Rooster. This was a few months ago.
To me, at least, firsts are a pretty big deal...there aren't many of them in this sport and those who achieve them are usually the pioneering type who are so rare in most things. Big time congrats to Henry! Two weeks ago a fellow whose last name slips my mind as I write this, but who goes by the moniker "Howard from Izorline (he works with them)" caught the first long range albacore on a bar aboard The Independance". It wound up his biggest of that three day trip. Kudos to Howard too!
Thanks for the thanks, guys. The credit goes to those who caught the fish and sent us the pictures. I just pass 'em on.
Life gives me a new perspective and outlook daily.

Thanks Fred!
I just got my bars in the mail yesterday and plan on catching my first yellowfin with them Friday I really like how you have them rigged so you can easily switch the the chase bait.

Right on, Jakie! Longfins really go for little bars. I honestly don't believe that there is any better lure for them than a Little MeatBall Bar.
And it ain't just albacore that dote on little bait, what I like to call "whale food". I can't tell you how many times we couldn't get a sniff on bigger bars down in Cabo, only to have the spread get annihilated and covered by everything from schoolies to cows like this one and like this school fish when we put the MeatBalls out...
