7.I do, or if I am in a hurry I just tie a simple overhand knot at the very end of the dacron just in front of where the mono exits and actually trust that more than a serving the end.
Hope this helps and IMO never put mono on the bottom of the spool as it breaks down MUCH quicker tham the braid and I dont want to lose 100 bucks worth of braid if I get dumped. I think that is the most retarded backward ass chit I have ever seen. Just go around the spool twice and it WILL NOT slip.
