GREAT video Box!!! Glad you actually got to use it. From what I heard, it never left the bridge in less it was hooked up!! You musta taken it when Capt Brian wasn't lookin!!!

I will post up a write up on this when I get a chance. I have rods to get out the door, 2 articles in the works and the daily grind to deal with.

See you Thursday afternoon............ and I WILL be armed.....

Interesting to see the pork strips, how many fish do they stand up to until they fall apart? i guess you are using these over Hoo's because the Mahi's dont care when they are on the chew.

IN THE SIXTY SLINGERS....I MAY HAVE LOST ONE STRIP....THE IMPORTANT TRICK IS TO CREATE BUT A SMALL HOLE IN THE STRIP SO THE YOU CAN FORCE THE HOOK IN IT AND YET THE RIND WILL NOT EASILY FALL OFF DURING THE BITE.

I MAY HAVE LOST ONE PIECE THIS PARTICULAR DAY...MAKES SLINGER MAHI FISHING VERY EASY

I ALSO TAKE OFF ABOUT ONE INCH OF THIS STRIP

AT THE END OF THE DAY, I REMOVE THE USED STRIP AND PUT IT BACK IN THE JAR FOR THE NEXT SLINGER ATTACK

    boxman,

there aint nothing like beer battered mahi. with a nice thai chili dippin sauce...

equal flour and corn meal, mix with flavorful beer, none of that diet beer crap, mix to a loose consistancy, batter will stick to fish but excess will run-off [no punn] fry and eat.. now get some of that up in ya...not bad for a yankee huh..

Great tip, do you just run the strip on the bend of the hook or do you have some other rigging method? i can see you use a small skirt with a 1/2oz egg sinker.

The best is the Mae Ploy Thai chili dippin sauce. Usualy in the Asian section of your grocery store or in an Asian market.
