I LOVE IT....DOESN'T MATTER WHAT THE SPECIES...NOR THE LOCATION....DEEP OR SHALLOW...FEATHERS OR HORN...FROM HATCHERY OWLS TO NIGHT TIME SWORDS...DOESN'T MATTER ONE BIT...CAPPIE BUFFINGTON IS GOING TO BE RIGHT SMACK IN DA MIDDLE OF IT
I LOVE THE VERSATILITY! HI-FIVES TO SLUGGO!
Michael,
Nice going on the green basses! They look like post spawners to me. And those bluegill look like real chunks (dayem, some great eatin' there!) Those babies would have wound up dusted and swimming in butter or oil if I'd have caught them. Or filleted, quickly steamed in beer, chilled, then served on ice and on toothpicks, a squeeze of lemon and dipped in cocktail sauce...mercy! Sooo good!
And don't let anyone pick on you about fishing for bass...hell, I've never met a good bass fisherman who didn't turn into a good saltwater guy real fast. Among other things, the sharp bass guys don't fish where there are no fish. Most have learned that one the hard way.
Great report. Thanks!

I really don't care what kind of fish it is...I just enjoy the game. Fred, they always said on the Shogun that bass fishing is where all the new stuff comes from. I think thats abit of a stretch...I've never heard of bass fishing circles at 4oo' with a blinking disco light but it's true. Those underwater thruhull lights probably found their start night time crappie fishing. It all starts somewhere and a farm pond is just a microcosm of our oceans. I used the same basic technique to catch the swords and the bass. I fished a point that held bait. Sure, one point started in 1800' and one started in 25' but it's the same general idea. Once my mind wrapped itself around that idea things make alot more sense.
Love the recent carnage Marty
