Thanks for the demo- It took awhile but I finally made the switch. I was pull testing crimps and couldnt believe the mono stretch. Gets you thinking also---What if the mono yields but doesnt break??? Well now you have a seriously strength compromised line. It will likely break on the next hit and have you wondering. Better to make the switch and know when it goes back out it's still strong. Thanks for the vid!

So, are you now saying it is better to spool up with straight braid, tie in a swivel, and then add in your 25 feet of leader material?

It seems like you would be putting all of the pressure now on your short trace of leader. All of your stretch now is placed into this 25 ft trace, longer the leader the lesser effects. Wear and tear on your leader would be magnified it seems, any little abrasion would break a lot quicker than it would if it had 100 yrds of mono stretch behind it.

If you all are worried about your mono mainline stretching to its limits and not breaking, and breaking quicker in the future; just imagine the impact on your leader.
