What's the life of JB when used as backing ? And if I'm using a 80# Ande top shot what would be the proper size JB to use (a good fit for 80# Ande to slide into) ?

I have 6 reels spooled with JB HC 130. They are on their third year and the spectra still looks great. I resplice the loop about three times a year removing about 6ft when I resplice. I only use windons so they are changed out on a regular basis. After this year I am going to Backspool the JB to another reel to put the unused spectra on top. The great thing about JB HC is you can splice more line on to the existing if you had too. The spectra inline splice is all you need to do and you cannot tell it has been spliced and it is a fail proof slice. The initial $$ layout is pricey but in the long run you save a lot of $s in time and mono.....Mark
