FYI not all atheletes who participate in Special Olympics are retarded. I worked with Special Olympics for over 17 years managing our local games. If you volunteered your time and worked with these children you would know. I will never forget the little kid that came up to me and said hey mister look at all the ribbons I won. He was as proud of those participant ribbons as he would have been if he won the events. We had 2 kids who did a gymnastics demonstration at the Kennedy center for President Reagan. One of those kids is now grown, married, and working. If you met him on the street you would never know he was "retarded" as you put it.
I think you chose a poor choice of words in your response to this thread. If you don't want to volunteer at least go and watch those children. To watch then try to do things that are easy for you or I will touch your heart.
