In my opinion, take it for it's worth, ANY ONE who catches a bft, REGARDLESS OF SIZE, should be congratulated. These fish are not that plentiful anymore. There are more than a few great crews that have yet to boat one. To try to take the few minutes of glory away from anyone, especially on their first bluefin, is wrong on so many levels.

Congrats Cane..........man was that FOG thick or what??!! ANd how about all those dolphins! We been at it the last couple days ourselves in the same area........maybe our number will get called soon.

Cane, congratulations on a great fish! It has been a long time coming. I'm truly proud of you my friend.

After a 3:30am till dark thirty, long bite-less day.... wishing I still had hair to pull out... hearing of a bloodbath taking place in our backyard while I trolled to no avail in what then seemed like no-mans land... almost at the point of needing some serious therapy, I get the call coming thru the turning basing... "CANE GOT HIM ONE!" and there was my therapy... I could not have been any happier even if I had two on the stern headed for homers. You know the old saying..."This damn ol' BFT thing is 90% mental, 5% physical, 5% luck"

I guess by now you can tell this is the wrong place for such bullshit as the response you made. I don't give a flying f*** how great a fisherman you are... how many fish you have killed... or how high of an opinion you hold of yourself. If your future is on this ocean we all share, then I will give ya this one piece of advice....

it will take a lot more than just catching fish to make you a great captain... respect must be earned & if your the type of person that you post are portraying yourself as, then you might should take a long hard look at the type of captain you want to be if you are really worried about you "future" on our ocean.

and if you are not in this world to help, contribute, or share in a positive way, then I feel the same as the rest... hit the damn street.
