We headed out of Morehead - maybe a bit earlier than most - and it turns out that was a good thing because by the end of the day you could almost walk across boats from Yellowfin Hole to grouper hole without getting your feet wet.
Anyway we hit 30 fathoms just short of our target and pull back to get the spread out - It took a whole 3 minutes to hookup - Nice hoo before we've even gotten the spread out - Looking good. Another 10 minutes - the spread is out and another strike - damn a stinky. Then a cutoff - Oh Well we're in the right area...
But it slow from there - a couple more that don't come tight and then finally get a nice one on the planer - Ok not too bad, it is 10:00 - lotta time to fish - start working the area a bit - no joy - we work our way through the parking lot and a bit off to ourselves - nice ledge and wham - 3 for 5 on hoos before the parking lot moves over to us - Damn again - one short of our limit, but we weren't gonna get it today - but got plenty of meat for the grill.
