Kids and Stripers!

I had a really fun charter today, John Walsh, a local Coast Guard cadet, set up a trip for his family. On board were 8 year old Annie, 11 year old Luke, and his Dad Jack. We went looking for stripers after grabbing a bunch of live bunker for bait, but fishing was a little slower than some days we've had lately. We worked our way north and were able to put the kids on some very respectable fish. I know a lot of adults who haven't caught stripers as large as Luke's! The fillets went back to the Coast Guard Station to give the cadets and officers a fresh fish dinner.
