KIDS OF THE CLAM

Well its that time of year again that cabin fever has hit the house. The solution is to to hit the steamer beds with the kids. Low tide was aprox. 11:30 am and light wind out of the north. Dug up enough for the Sunday night dinner. As you can see it was a good day and one closer to the spring launching of the boat.

When I was a kid I collected mussels with my uncle and parents once and I don't forget that day... as I don't forget about the days when I went crabbing with them and fishing with my uncle(s) in small ponds

Thanks for the thumbs up. As a kid I would clam the same areas and still have the memories like they were yesterday, Where did last 30+ years go?????

BTW, I lived in the Clinton/Madison area for 30 years and I don't recognize that piece of shoreline, was that in town or more east?

Reminds me of the time a commercial guy working the beds out in front of the house showed my son how to open a cherry stone

It was all down hill after that at 10 he was digging and opening them for us on the deck

My son would watch this guy and imulate every move till he limited out !!!!
