The kid put it to em

What a morning it was, just me and my youngest daughter up and out of the house before sunrise....the air a crisp 38 degrees.This kid put a hurting on the trout, and she did it with artificials. The older men around could just watch and shake thier heads as she proceeded to catch at least 25+ trout.
The lure of choice was a 2 1/2" black and silver rebel minnow and the fish were commiting suicide on a slow retrieve. At one point she was out fishin the other guys 3-1 oh what a proud poppa i was, hell i didnt really fish at all i was enjoying the clinic this kid was puttin on. We kept our 5 fish limit of trout at least 16" with the largest rainbow going 19" including a 17" brook trout. The looks from the other guys was worth a million bucks when she hoisted her stringer out of the water, on guy says wow you really knocked the heck out of them didnt you sweetie, with out missing a beat my girl said its because my daddy taught me and hes the best.......still being super man in my 9 year olds eyes is priceless.

Thanks fellas it was truly a blast, only down side was the # 8 treble i got burried in way past the barb under my middle fingernail......ouch....thats gonna leave a mark.....but luckily i had a striper rig left in my vest so i looped the 50# mono around the shank and gave it the old heave ho. I might have been bleading like a pig but the kid was on fire there was no way we were leaving untill she wanted to.

Now that's what I call a whopping good time. Beautiful daughter and them some dang nice trout. CONGRATS to the fisher girl and her PROUD Pappa.
