well it was time to get some new gear and since i wanted a little change i am gonna give these a shot. i got 6 shimano torium 30s and then i ordered the crazy little power handle cuz they look cool and im betting they work better too. i am gonna order the carbontex drags for em this week. i also got some decent "off the shelf" rods for now. they are the 6'6" 15-40lb outer banks outfitters rod. i gotta save up a little for some good custom rods but these oughta work for now. still debating on mono or braid but it looks like im gonna do mono for now. im still on a budget so dropping a few hundred on line is gonna have to wait. now these are not the best rod/reels out there but for me they will work like a champ. now i just gotta get offshore for a little while.
