na, i didnt even bother riding down to the marina to see it, a couple of my friends were there and saw it, the guy that got it owns a local shop on the island "the reel outdoors".

Pretty wierd, something was wrong with that fish . lost/sick . its just not natural for them to be in the sound lol. maybe he had a hankering for some shrimp? lol

sea draggin, you got it all wrong. im not setting up a 130 on the rocks....im gonna paddle the canoe up to the next one i see in the sound, knife between my teeth and jump over and pull a croc dundee lol.

how many people have started trolling (non-inshore) for the GBFT so far this year? i know s2n got one, but i mean , is there a buncha guys out there trying to wack em?

We went yesterday, but were in the wrong area. I heard there was a hot bite in the North River, but we never found them.

For real though - I had a spanish that I rigged that was the swimmin'est bait I have ever seen. It was awesome, but not good enough.

    i saw it

the fish wasnt sick jesse, and i saw it right after it was put in the boat and then helped unload it at the marina. it had sturred the water up so bad that they really couldnt tell what it was until after it was gaffed and then it was to late. the feds said the fish must have been disoriented from the fresher water and would have probably died, they said he done the right thing by not just letting it go after gaffing it. the feds said it was a once in a life time thing and if he did get fined it was worth it just to be able to tell the story. they cut the fishes belly open and it was empty. the feds took the fish and sold it and the money will help fund some of their projects so it wasnt bad as alot of people are saying on the other sites...........tater out

not sick? damn....wonder what made him run in there. the storm systems we just had? maybe just got lost?

or maybe he was just stupid ? who knows. wish we could get into his mind!

definately a 1nce in a lifetime thing, and yeah, prlly woulda died, so better take him out soon then let him swim and die slowly.

    dont know

might have been sonar messed his sence of direction up or maybe he was chaseing bait, there was a 79 incher washed up or beached its self about a mile below bogue inlet pier about 2 or 3 weeks ago. joe shute i think posted about it. said there was a guy setting on top of it with a fillet knife cutting him some tuna steaks, so go figure, freak stuff happens, just wish i had been on the boat with GREG and HUGH, its an amazing story no matter how you look at it
