Thats a cool story. Reminds me of when I was a kid. Used to fish a couple local man made ponds near the housing developement where I lived for catfish and anything else I could catch. One year they built another development close buy and they dug a narrow pond with a bridge going over it at the entrance to the developement. I rode my bike by there one day and I saw all these big goldfish (carp & Koi) swimming in this small shallow pond from the bridge above. I found an "In fisherman" magizine at the local grocery store that had an article in it on how to catch carp. One of the methods they mentioned was using caned corn. Well I bought 4 cans of corn and went back by the pond and dumped 3 of the cans near the bank under the bridge & went home for the night with plans of returning in the morning. When I came back in the morning ALL the fish were feeding in the area I dumped the corn. I baited up with a few pieces on a small hook and a split shot and started fishing! I was having a ball! Those fish pulled hard & I was throwing them up on the bank so I could take them home & show my dad and eat them. Well after awhile a car drove over the bridge and then stopped. This guy came down to me all upset saying how these fish were decorative and I couldnt fish there!! Man he was pissed! I have about 15 of his decorative fish dead on the bank and he was screaming and said he was going to call the cops. Well I gathered my catch and hauled butt! The fish tasted like mudd & my old man laughed his butt off when I told him about the man who caught me. When I rode by the pond the next day there were NO FISHING signs all around it..
