Its just a game for cripes sake!!

I have a little story i wanted to share with the board.

Last saturday on christmas eve I went to the Skins game. MAN MAN MAN what a game. It was just amazing, I even got a pic of me and Sean Taylor together after the game as he was leaving the field. Everyone was in high spirits, that is as long as you were not a Giants fan.

So we are in the mayhem of trying to get out of the parking lot. I am meeting my family for dinner before church at 5 and its already pushing 5 and we were still in the parking lot. I have my girlfriend in the car with me and she still has to shower and get ready as well. As we are inching forward, i pass a group of Giants fans trying to drown their sorrows in a few cases of miller light. I already have "Hail to the Redskins" on repeat goin in my car and my girl and I are all smiles.

It might have been a little stupid on my part, but as I got closer to their car I crank hail to the redskins and we are singing along. The giants fans didnt like this and i got a few beers thrown at my car. One guy comes up and slams his hands on my hood. I cant let this happen and start to get out of my car. Before i even get both feet out, WHAM. . . i get clocked in the face. My nose broke with that first hit. . . remember, im still not out of the car yet. I get out completely and get jumped by, I think, 6 of them. I only know it was 6 from what ang told me. I try to hold my own as best I can but 6 guys were just too many, i get hit on the back of the head with a bottle and I go down. Finally, some more skins fans come to my aid and get them off me. I feel like i held my own as best i could with 6 big drunk guys coming after me, but i still got messed up. Broken nose, busted lip, head split open from the bottle. . .generally not in a good mood.

what I wanted to say was, SERIOUSLY, ITS JUST A FRIGGIN GAME. I am a huge fan. . . HUGE skins fan, but would never take it that far. I was sure upset on the Run-Off when the skins got shut out by the g-men, but i didnt go beat the crap out of marty cuz he got a few chuckles at my expense. . .WTF?????

seriously, its just a game.


ohh, btw, church that night was certainly interesting with a lip that looked like i had a hockey puck in it and a few hair cut that showed off my split open head perfectly. . . LOL. at least the threw in a few extra prayers for me. . . lol.

I lived 50 miles north of NYC for about 12 years and was NOT a Giants fan.... had almost the same exact thing happen to me about 10 years ago...but it never got to fist-to-cuffs..... some peole are just ignorant...and being half in the bag doesn't help matters....... glad it wasn't worse!!

HAHA. . . yea, actually, i think philly fans might even be a little worse. I feel like there is a fight every 3rd down at the Skins-Eagles games. Oh well, like you guys said, it could have been worse. Some kid in gaithersburg got shot in his car on christmas day. . .so yea, it could have been a lot worse.
