Irene storm prep for the worst! Pray it works!

Hi Guys, Irene is making a beeline for Morehead City and it has began to rain and blow. Since I'm in a narrow creek ( Spooners Creek towards the very end) I can tie off to both sides. The woods side I have 5/8's chain around some trees and the chain reaches the water's edge and I shackle 5/8 line with a thimble to the chain. Those lines are then tied off to the boat with chafing gear. I'm helping my friends by allowing them to tie off slightly behind me. Preparing for the worst and hoping for the best, what else can you do! Good luck to all and be safe. See pic's below.

Hi Guys, Thanks for all your support and comments. Except for losing 5 shingles, a few branches, 5' storm surge and power loss for 36 hours we came out fine!
The eye did pass over us Sat AM but we had the roughest time for the boats all day Sat as the 40-70 MPH gusts came right up our creek producing 2-3 foot seas in my back yard! That's the direction with the least protection for our location. All the other directions we have wind blocks of heavily treed homes and forest across the creek.
The boats were unharmed!

Glad you came out unharmed! I can't even image what would have happened if she had come in at a Cat 3!! Got real gnarly on the Pamlico.

$1000. reduction in price- now $95,900. Also, if she doesn't sell by Nov. 1st she is going to Stuart, Florida for the winter.
