IRBA Tuna Tournament for Breast Cancer Awareness.
July 4th, 5th, 6th 2008
Tuna Tournament supports Breast Cancer.
A portion of the tournament proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Awareness.
IRBA will be raffling off a pink Black Bart Trolling Rod and matching pink Penn International 30 wide Reel. Retail value $1500.

RULES
1. Registration is $200 per boat.
2. This is a trolling only tournament with fishing two out of the three days.
3. There is a guaranteed payout of 50% of entry monies. It will be split 50%, 30% and 20% for the first, second and third heaviest fish.
4. Trophies/plaques will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd heaviest tuna and for the heaviest dolphin.
5. Captain’s meeting will be held on July 3rd, 2008 at the tent at the Indian River Marina from 7:00 PM through 9:00PM. You, or a representative from your boat, MUST attend the meeting to obtain your packet & picnic tickets. Rules will be read and questions answered. No entries will be accepted after 9:00 PM on Thursday July 3rd, 2008.
6. Each boat must have on board the tournament packet they received at the Captain’s meeting. The packet will contain a copy of the rules (this brochure) and an assigned boat number. The assigned numbers must be displayed & visible on the boat at all times during the tournament. Boats without a tournament packet will be disqualified.
7. In the event of a breakdown, you may use an alternate boat after getting permission from a tournament Director or Board Member. Your assigned number must be displayed on the alternate boat.
8. Boats may leave any port or ramp they wish, but not earlier than 4:00 AM. No lines in the water until 7:00 AM. Fishing limited to 90 nautical miles from the Indian River Sea Buoy (Green Can). All lines out of the water by 3:00 PM and boats must be back in the Indian River Marina by 7:00 PM to weigh a fish – NO exceptions. An observer will be posted at the mouth of the marina to verify boats arrival. If hook-up occurred prior to 3:00 PM, it must be called in to a committee boat or Director.
9. All fish must be caught by rod and reel only. Fish caught otherwise will be disqualified. Fish must be brought to the fish cleaning facility at the Indian River Marina by boat for weigh in at the tournament scale – NO exceptions. All fish eligible for awards and cash prizes may be subject to examination by the Tournament Directors. All winners are subject to a polygraph test. Protest committee will consist of tournament Directors & weigh master. Their decision is final.
10. After arrival at the marina, boats should proceed to the fish cleaning facility at the Indian River Marina to have their fish weighed. If the bulkhead area is crowded, a tournament director and/or weigh master will authorize you to drop off your fish with a representative from your boat. The representative must remain with the fish at all times until the fish has been weighed. The tournament director and/or the weigh master have the authority to direct boats to expedite the unloading of fish.
11. Weigh-in starts at 5:00 PM and no fish may be weighed in prior to that time. Scales close at 7:00PM.
12. All boats must weigh their fish at the tournament scale located at the fish cleaning facility at the Indian River Marina. Fish must come off a registered boat. You may weigh your choice of 3 tuna and 1 dolphin. Please have your fish culled and ready for the weigh master at the time you arrive at the dock. After the fish are weighed, they will be marked.
13. This is a 2 out of 3 days tournament. A fishing day will be determined by each boats captain. Fish at your own discretion. Anyone wishing not to fish a particular day may do so prior to 7:00 AM by calling 717-572-6556 and leaving a message with the boat name and number. If you have not called before 7:00 AM, then your boat is considered fishing for that day.
14. In the event of a tie for a first place fish, the first and second place monies will be split. The third place monies will go to the next heaviest fish. In the event of a tie for a second place fish, the second and third place monies will be split. There will be no third place winner. In the event of a tie for third place, the third place monies will be split. For categories that have first, second and third place, if there are no second or third place fish, the first place fish takes all. If there is no third place fish, the first and second place fish split the third place money. If any of Calcutta B categories (1, 2, 3) are not filled, that money will go to the heaviest fish in the corresponding Calcutta A categories (1 ,2, 3) that was entered in Calcutta B. If Calcutta D is not filled, that money will go to the heaviest fish in Calcutta C that was entered in Calcutta D. If Calcutta E is not filled, that money will go to the heaviest fish in Calcutta C that was entered in Calcutta E.
15. Boats are responsible for obeying federal tuna rules and having permit on board. Please release any tuna that will not be eaten for conservation of the species.

95% of all the Calcutta money will be awarded.
NOTE: you can only win money from a Calcutta that you entered.
