Yeah all mine were spikes.... I didnt catch the smallest one though... and I caught the most.

I was giving you the benefit of the doubt calling your trout spikes. They would have been called Gudgeons if they weren't spotted. Actually, a big gudgeon would of kicked your fish's azz.

Haha two of my fish would have been legal to keep... maybe. That one that you caught though was definitely the smallest at 4'' in length. Possibly the smallest trout ever. That little thing that you caught popped right out of the trout uteris and ate your grub. A filipno with a cast net would have even let that thing go, if it didnt swim out of the net first. I was just so busy catching more than you that I didnt have time to discriminate on their size.

Jer, anywhere North of the Delaware Bay they are weakfish or weakies. In Maryland they are seatrout, or simply trout . South of Maryland they are Grey Trout. The proper name in the books is Grey Seatrout.

Thanks. It looks like the weakfish we have here, if it's not the same species. I don't know for sure since I've only seen big weakfish for sale in supermarkets / fish markets.
