Was on the phone with Tim earlier, got him hooked up HammerHead Metal Work's out of Bath, NC. Let the planning and riggin begin. Got the start of a "big" little boat right here!!! You guy's got any idea's, post em' up. I gave my 2 cents worth already. From what I've seen when he fished with me, Tim's a good guy. Only limit's on this rig will be imagination. Hoping this will work out. Frank
Nice talking to you earlier as well, Aaron. Like the site, lots of great ideas for later on this boat and for my next one!! Look forward to getting the boat up to you to get those rod holders on!
Good catching up with you Frank. Appreciate you getting me in touch with Aaron. Really hope I can get the boat up there before too long! Hope to have it all set up before Bluefin season! We'll see!
Where are you looking to fish out of NRI? If you are looking near shore- look at Divers Rock always fish there, SE Bottoms, Christmas Rock and AR355 that should get you in the kings. Offshore 200/200 & WR2 but those are a good run. Now if you want a fun day go by bluebird landing get some pogies, head out of the inlet between the last can and sea buoy and grab a BOX of stingsilvers jig you up some grey trout right to the left between last can and sea buoy. While you are at it you can pick up some spanish and blues throw the blues in the live well and put one out on the live line for grandma king while you jig up grey trout after an hour or so head to Divers rock troll there for a while they are either there are they are not. Then if not head to SE Bottoms or Christmas Rock at Christmas or D buoy(I think it is D) troll for kings then if you decide to anchor find you that nice drop and drop for some possible grouper action. This is all dependent on water temp in that area. But that would be a perfect day I spent an October doing exactly that out of New River Oct 2007 we sleighed the greys then limited out kings and then picked up cpl of grouper. And believe it or not we were back at the dock by 3pm. Good Luck great fishing this time of the year. I had a friend that fished NRI this past week said blues and spanish were thick enough to walk on inside the cans. But it is all dependent on what you are looking for, the bft will also show in that area but can not tell you where I have been sworn to secrecy LOL sorry but it is not hard to find. But that will be Dec
