I AM A SUCKER FOR OPENING UP THE STOMACHS OF MOST OF MY FISH....I FIND SEA WITCHES...AND MARINE LIFE OF ALL KINDS.......
AND THE COURTEOUS TIP OF THE WEEK:
WHEN YOU DO CLEAN YOUR FISH AND NEED TO DISCARD THE CARCASS.......
PUNCH OUT BOTH EYES WILL YOU!!!!!
THE DANG CARCASS WILL FLOAT AND STINK UP THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS!!!!
good tip i usually just throw them in my trap but tunas are kinda hard so i got some people that want me to keep the heads for them to boil for soup and whatever else they use it for
LOL, good point Marty. Floating fish bodies up against your boat for a day or 2 would get annoying quick.
Me and my son love to see what the fish ate. We always open up the stomachs to see whats in there.
My son won't let me throw the carcass away until I open up the stomach.
I have found crabs, baby dolphin, mackerals, squid, plastic bottles, mold craft chuggers, sea witches, hooks, weights all kinds of other stuff.
Heck, 1 time I had caught 3 wahoo and was cleaning them at home. Got done filleting them and opened up the stomachs and found 2 of my own lures they had cut off earlier in the day. LOL
That's mighty funny Marty. Funny thing I always did was bring my tuna back to my marina on the Chesapeake Bay to clean them. Well everyone knows there ain't no tuners on the Chessy but them things would float up after a couple days and stink the whole place up. I was "kindly" asked to obstain from disgarding the carcusses in the basin...
