IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHY THEY CALL HIM WAHOONBOX.....

THIS IS WHY!!!!!!!!!!!! Went out with Marty, Rick (Baywolf) and John (OseaD) yesterday. box is the king! these other two guys, they are no slouch either. it was my first time wahoo fishing, and OMG! I had no idea you could have that much fun with your clothes on LOL! my first time and I was with the three kings.. if you are in need of a good night sleep, go fishing with these guys.. top notch.. nothing else to be said! try 'em..

*warning* not for the weak at heart.. born killers, warriors I mean to tell ya.

left out beautiful morning, got to the fishing grounds, took a deep breathe, and total chaos broke loose. let the killing begin..

here's a few pics. unable to get many while in action, box's cockpit is no place for a camera, waaaay too much action. the best fishing experience of my life.

Sweet, now that's the kind of report I'm talking about. I have to admit I'm just a little bit jealous that I had to work and couldn't get out yesterday.

Great job guys those are some nice sized hoos.

I think the smallest was about 43lb. Went 4 for 9, the main part of the bite only lasted about 20-30 minutes.

Two hrs into the troll, not a sniff, little chatter on the radio, everyone looking not much to it. We were all alone when there was a boil on the teaser. John grabs the flat and try's to pick him off, I crank in the short rigger. He wouldn't come off the teaser. Marty hollers planer, I pass the rod I was working and get on the planer, fish on. I hear Marty holler SHIT he got the teaser, broke the line and off he went with an Islander and a chain of squids. About that time the rt long comes down and John gets him on. Double header and they are stretching them out, 30lbs of drag on the planer and he is getting it. First fish to the boat, I stuck him a little far back while stretched out and lost my footing. Ted just grabbed me by the back of my britches before I got wet. Big fish, pushing 50lb. John gets his up and we fold 2 pigs in the box. Hurry get em back out. Marty say's "I'm coming over the mark again". Bam the planner goes off again, 3 little pigs in the box. Marty makes the turn to go back over the spot, in the middle of the turn one airs out on the bridge pole and crashes it, rips about 10ft of line then goes slack. Crank it in and find the brand new snap swivel broke in the bend. A short debate on what could have caused it and concluded the wire must have fouled on the locking loop of the snap swivel. Again coming over the spot boing goes the planer, just before the planner clears the water the line goes slack, gone. Gear back out back over the spot, marking bait and fish but no love. As quick as it started it was over. The Black and green w mylar was hot. We drilled a hole in that spot for another 3 hrs marking bait and fish, picked up one stinky and a Blackfin. Made our way to the SWH and picked up another nice hoo on the way. Was getting close to quitting time when the rt long comes down but not tight. John does the drop back and gets him on. Pass the rod to Ted and its on, much nicer fish than the ones in the box. After a 15 min tug of war the fish nears the boat, staying deep, the sign of a big fish. He starts the head shake. Ted is feeling the burn in his forearms, his 5th fight of the day. The fish just out of sight does one more head shake and gone, DAMN! What a day, though our numbers weren't high we had a nice mess of fish. Was a great day on the water with great fishermen and pretty weather.
