    Ideas for Lighthouse artwork

    Hey you all, I'm painting a new series of Lighthouse/fish paintings mainly for T-shirts, small prints ect. I'm starting with the North Carolina Lighthouses, then on to South Carolina, East coast then the west coast eventually. Bascally the art will be a plain background with the lighthouse and a single fish that is popular to that particular area
    I can find some pics on the web of the lighthouses, but if anyone has a good shot of the ones in your area post em up for me. I also could use help selecting the most popular fish species for that area. I know what most areas target but I paint for you all, the fisherman and my opinion may not be the same as yours. Once completed I'll do my best to get those who contributed a print of the art from their area as long as I can get my printer to not kill me on the pricing. Below are a couple low res. pics of some I did today. Thanks everyone!

    Mark,

    I should have some of Oak Island and maybe bald head i will post for you. With Oak Island I would suggest maybe a King Mackerel since that seems to be the most popular fish with all the tournaments. What about Frying Pan Light Tower. would work with Grouper or African Pompano maybe tarpon for bald head light house or maybe trout

    I really like the Hatteras one. If you're doing Cape Henry, I'd go with a rockfish or cobia.

    Mark,
    Old Baldy would be great with a King - One of the most popular spots for big fall kings is Lighthouse Rock - just a couple miles out...

    Others;

    Currituck & Striper
    Hatteras Light and a Billfish Grand Slam

    Diamond Shoals Light Tower and Mahi or Tuna
