Here is a pic of the White Island Light house at the Isle of Shoals, a set of islands a few miles offshore in the Gulf of Maine. The obvious fish to couple this with would be the striper, though if you wanted to be unique you could always do it with a Wolf fish as divers in the area always talk about the big old fish that live around the moorings in Gosport Harbor...

Yep, my mistake, they dumped in deeper water. Imagine sleep walking on that thing back in the day

I like the B/W lighthouses so I'd say the new one. Hell, why not a combo? They're right next to eachother.

ON THE DIAMONDS PAINTED ON THE LIGHTHOUSE AT CAPE LOOKOUT:....I BELIEVE I AM CORRECT AND SOMEONE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG....BUT IF ONE CAN SEE ALL BLACK DIAMONDS AND NOT PARTIAL...YOU ARE EITHER TRAVELLING NORTH OR SOUTH.....AND IF YOU SEE ALL WHITE DIAMONDS....EAST OR WEST.....

A COOL IDEA WOULD BE INSTEAD OF DIAMONDS...TO PAINT JUST SIMPLE OL BOXES ON THE LIGHTHOUSE..... WITH A WAHOO BUSTING OUT

    Thomas Point

    Hi Mark,
Thomas Point Lighthouse is very popular here in MD and is a little different then most lighthouses. Here is a link to another thread with several pictures started by Alltackle a while back...
    Thomas Point Lighthouse

Fish of choice would be without a doubt Rockfish, I believe the inshore state record was caught very close to the lighthouse.
Great post and looking forward to seeing more of your work!

    Bodie Island Lighthouse

You should do one with Bodie Island lighthouse (you can see the inlet from there) in the foreground. Next to that include the fleet coming in through Oregon Inlet adorned with a White Marlin, tuna, or even the state record blue caught out of there this year...

let me know if I can get a copy

    NJ and Fl

I realize NC and SC are on top of your list but when you get there ....
    Barnegat Light(NJ) and Jupiter Light(Fl)

Jupiter.... I'll have to scan as I dont think I have them as jpegs, good old film
As for fish .... Sailfish is on top of the list but so many others would be great choices

For now an old scan of Barnegat Light....
Fish: Striped Bass, Weakfish, Bluefish and on and on .....

You guys are awsome, great ideas and thanks for the compliments. Hey Finesse another good one for Jupiter would be a Snook. I was a deputy Sheriff there and instead of eatin donuts I had rod in my trunk. Midnight Shift was awesome!! Tax payers money hard at work
