    I wish this storm

would hurry up!!! I took my boat out of the water yesterday and I'm ready to go catch some fish. The flounder have been eating good for the past week, then this biatch Hanna comes around to keep me indoors. My wife has had enough of me and my 3 dogs standing at the window with our noses pressed against the glass. Condo livin might not workout for me and the beasts.
I was able to sneak down to the dock and make a few casts between rain storms earlier, nothing but small bluefish chewing up my Gulp baits.
Sorry for the rant, weather reports from Carolina Beach will continue throughout the night, or as long as the Gentleman Jack allows.

You say the flounder bite has been good. They ain't no dummies, they were feeding up before this ***** hits. Now we have to wait for all the fresh water to run off for things to get back to normal.

Well the wind and rain have kicked up a bit here in CB, me and the dogs had to beat a hasty retreat off the deck. I just watched a guy trying to get his boat (which hasnt left the slip in 4 months) tied up better, he was using the "lots of knots" technique. I'm gonna pull on my gortex and hoof down to the dock and give him a hand, it looks like a giant spider web has been built around his boat.
Lee I'll give you a ring tomorrow afternoon, Sunday is looking good so far.

Well the wind is whipping pretty good now probably gusting to 40ish mph. Not much rain yet, but I'm sure we'll see some heavy stuff before the night is over. So far the only damage I've seen is a 8ft section of the pool fence sliding across the marina parking lot.

Hey Buddy!!!! Yeah we survived the little wench. Started blowing good around 0200hrs up until then it wasnt too bad. I got up early this morning and walked the mutts around looking for damage. Not much here, a couple of down tree branches, some privacy fences down, besides that nada. I think we lost power for about 5 minutes total.
Now if the wind will lay down I'm gonna get the old Hewes back in the drink and look for some flounder and trout.
How did MHC take the storm?
