Been using that one on the deep bait for a while, If I were you I would never try it, I repeat don't try this, this will not put the biggest wahoo in the box or kill a stud BFT.

Neat trick Box! Thanks for taking the time to share it with us. That same trick works real well on the bottom end of a vertical jig when assist hooks are run from the top.

Longliners used something similar too some years ago, but they used it with the clevis gizmo, like a spinner bait set-up.

Love it. I use a spinner bait blade on the back of one of my homemade lures, but never thought of doing it that way! Once again, the reason SF is so damn good! Thanks Box!
