WOW thanks everyone, I am just overwhelmed by your support. He is talented and the kid is unbelievable, we made a deal a long time ago I would always be the one person he can talk to about anything and it is between us. I talked to him about friends I played sports with in 8th and 9th grade that were talented but when they got to high school never played football or other sports with us again because they started smoking, drinking and drugs. We talked about this because he was telling me about people he knows doing it and just does not understand why they do dumb stuff, honestly his goal is good grades and get a scholarship playing baseball at Carolina (UNC) or some other D1 school so when I talked to him I told him those are the people you will grow away from in life and he understands, the kid is smart and he will get past this. we talked last night about hockey and he said he was upset earlier and I explained ull b fine and use a good USMC moto Improvise, Adapt and OVERCOME when I broke it down for him and explained he said that is the best saying I have ever heard. With me and him it was business as usual, I did not bring anything up, did not let him know how worried I was but once again we know nothing and it could be nothing. But I know he is scared but being brave.
Marty, O Sea D and Capt B he ask about u guys all the time, we need to put him on a bluefin soon he has never caught one and has always wanted to go, I guess we need to plan to take him.
He has neuc thyroid test next Wed or Thur and biop one day, da$% that is alot for a 14 yr old but those of you that have had friend deal with something similar THANK YOU if it comes to me sharing your friend success with him I PROMISE I WILL but right now I do not want to even scare him any more so I have not told him anything yet.
