Some of marinas here in Wrightsville have gone to 5 bucks a gallon for Diesel! Unleaded hightest is ONLY $4.69. At what point did it become less expensive to refine and distribute high octane rather than diesel?

Just last year it was around $2.10 off the truck now that is even $3.69.

What is the likelyhood of it ever going back down to that point? A point at which most felt we were already getting screwed.

I burn about 250 gallons on a stream trip. Do the math and reconsider the term "Fun Fishing."

And there is no road tax on the diesel.To make it worse diesel/heating oil is a by product of making gas.We are getting F'd without courtship.Lets see reserves at 300% demand dramasticly down and the prices are still insane.Anyone else noted this all started right after the gov approved all the monopolies I mean merger's of the controlled I mean free market oil companies.

or gas pump there are no lines of people waiting to get the fuel, i.e. THERE IS NO FUEL SHORTAGE.

my theory = it is manipulation ahead of the presidential elections. george & Repubs try to look like good guys because they tell OPEC, "you better not charge so much because we will stop buying from you." and it puts the Dems in a position of promising a handout that will cost way more than the taxes & budget can afford. it is all positioning and MANIPULATION for the upcoming politics and final election. these manipulators are smart! and we friggin pay & pay & pay.

Did you notice that the prices went up after the Democrats took control of Congress? And that is after promising that they would lower fuel costs.

My mother in law had to fill up her oil tank for heat... She's on a fixed income from social security..... She can't afford to buy the oil and is having to finance it. We are all worrying about fuel prices, but I really feel sorry for those on a fixed income..... Oh yea our wonderful Government just gave them a 2% raise. Average monthly income is $1154.... times 2% is $23.08........ $23.08 a month to pay for $750 dollar increase in one tank of heating oil...... Means it will take her 31 months to pay for that one tank..... If this were 1776 there would be a rebellion !!!!!

A short while back, diesel fuel at the gas station used to be about 30 to 40 cents a gallon higher than gasoline..............but now its at least 1.00 per gallon higher- so what's up with that???

We are getting screwed with our pants on!!!

Does anyone think that prices will fall to less than half of what they are now.............ever?

last time I checked we had the world's most powerful military sitting on top of the world's largest oil field.

If you are an independant trucker it must be damn near impossile to make a living.

All this talk about fuel prices almost has me thinking about becomming a "BLOW BOATER".

Tourism is now Mexico's largest product. Up to a few years ago it used to be oil. maybe we could........forget it. I'm not even going to go there.
