Do you troll for Blue Fin Tunas?

Every time I have been we trolled between 7-9 knots. That was with mostly plastics so it may differ with meat.

Here out of morehead we have been 6 trips with 2 bite's one broke the leader the other pulled the hook.We have been trolling 6.2kts down to 4.5kts pulling dead bait's 2 bait's down and 2 up top.

up here off the jersey coast fishing the 20-30fathom lines with select ballyhoo we troll 4-6knts but generally 5.5knts is where we start at.

About 7kts then slowing down to 5.5 6 around a mark or bait.

For me, 5.5 to 6 knots, max... I think 9 kts is way to fast, but what do I know...

Realy as slow as you can without making the baits odd.

Anywhere from 3.5-6 for me but thats off the midatlantic in june-july.

I fish out of delaware, maryland and virgina I usally troll at 4 knots with my center line 300yrds back and my long riggers back about 150yrds. if I get a mark I would put the boat in neatural and let the baits sink. You will also get bites when you are in a turn as the baits are dropping deeper. This year it didn't take longer then 20 minutes to get our bite. We weren't catching bigguns though most were 80-100#s.
