This is why my garden doesn't grow. I had 3 50 ft rows of string beans and this is what happens. I did manage 3 meals worth before the herd of Bambis decided to hop my fence. I had to replant so they won't eat my pepper plants.
For some reason the deer won't eat my butterbean plants but they eat the sgtring beans and if it is like last year once they finished the beans they ate my Halbenero and Jalapenos and finished with the maters.
Haven't updated this thread in quite a while so I thought I'd post some new pictures.
We're officially now in full swing....the cherry tomato plant is over head high and extending into 4 other tomato plants. Steady pick of full sized tomatoes coming in every day along with some cukes, jalapenos, and banana peppers. The green peppers have taken a siesta after their early harvest---new blooms have appeared and the second round of fruit is not far away. New squash plants (after the first ones were eaten by squash bugs) are blooming and are about to produce fruit as well.
On Sunday myself and Miss Squid even managed to can some tomatoes for the first time while some ribs were cooking on the grill.

It is getting to be that time... We picked our first cherry tomatoes yesterday and will have bell peppers in a couple of days. The okra is just starting...
