How do I post large videos on here?

I couldn't find anything that says there's a limit... but what I do is click on Videos at the top of the SFC screen and upload there. Then it gives you a little code to copy into your sfc post.

Otherwise, I upload it to You Tube which will take up to 2G I think. Then there is a way to embed the you tube video in the post which is what I did in the Gringo thread. I can tell you how to do that if you use this method.

Ok then I would upload it to You Tube. Once it's uploaded it will show you a url like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpJW_bLAAbA

Then you take the characters after the = sign. (lpJW_bLAAbA in this case) and encase it between [youtube] and the same with the / before "you tube"

(I can't type it here or it will try to embed a video)

I have tried large files but the site seems to only allow smaller files. I have contacted the Admin about loading videos with larger files and hopefully they will get back with me on it.
This was a large file and the site only downloaded a very small portion of the video. The quality was great but I cannot get the site to load the entire video. Maybe I am doing something wrong.I know they frown on using outside sites to link to so I haven't posted any videos over the past few months...Hopefully it will get figured out...Help!!...Mark

I think if they frowned on You Tube they wouldn't allow that bit of code to embed the video. Not all forums do that.

You can read this post. I would take it as not to link or embed from other sites. Maybe I am reading it wrong. but I am just trying to do what the admin has posted....Mark
