How do I post large videos on here?

Yes I can see the issue and what you're saying but by embedding the video, I am not "pushing" anyone to another site. The SFC readers can view the video here and stay on SFC for further browsing. I think that's different than posting a link that takes the reader to another site.

I was actually able to upload my video here (64 mb, I think). However, since SFC automatically resized it way too large, the quality went to crap and you couldn't see anything. So what's the alternative? Wait for Jer to answer a PM? I've PM'd him twice in the last two weeks because no one could see Gringo's photos. We have since resolved it with the help of another user but it took weeks.

P.S. I have nothing at ALL against Jer - he's just a busy guy. We have chatted in another venue and he's an OK guy in my book!!!

That is my question what is the alternative. I would much rather have my fishing videos stored here on this site than on other sites. But I would like to retain the quality that the pay sites offer. I would pay the fee to store my videos here but for the longer Videos 9-10 minutes in high quality doesnt seem to be an option right now. My files normally run about 380MB-400MB and 3.53kb-4.0KB after being converted on their website.I dont think I have said anything negitive about the admin either. It would just be nice to be able to show the longer videos in good quality......Mark

Huge difference in the two. I tried to find guidelines on Uploading videos and the specific size videos SFC allows but could not find any specifics on video uploading.....Mark

offshore, the ideal video screen size is 640x480 (or the next available size larger than 640 pixels if it's a wide screen video). The system is supposed to take files up to 500MB, but that depends on the upload speed of your connection. I know we have had members uploading videos with 150MB+ that worked fine. Our video encoders are OK but not awesome. Hopefully we will find a sponsor to help us cover the cost of high-end video encoders. I will look for a way around the time outs when possible.

I couldn't find anything either but I was able to upload 64mb and Capt Buffington could not upload 120mb so I'm guessing it's probably 100mb.
