Mistakes happen but I think they should DQ boats that weigh in undersized fish. Making the call at the boat is part of the sport and there should be some consequence, and a lot of thought, in deciding when to take one for the tournament scale. Most boats don't need the incentive but given the number of undersized fish weighed in each year, clearly some do. It seemed like there were a lot last year in the WMO and it's just not good PR for the sport or the tournaments. It is a judgement call that's not always easy to make so I don't blame someone that made an educated decision and came in under, I just think there should be some tournament impact to it.
It was just 2 years ago we had to fight to allow "kill" tournaments to continue and I think taking substantially undersized fish fuels the other sides argument.
