    THE HORROR!!!

    I took my dad and fishsalmon to my new favorite speckle trout hole this morning. I have not been to this spot and not caught fish before today. Tide was perfect, wind was perfect, bait was perfect. Get anchored right on my numbers perfect and start fishing. An hour goes by and say "thought we woulda had a few by now." Keep casting. Another hour goes by and my dad says I think I'll eat a sandwhich. When I saw what he had . . . .


    He had a peanut butter . . . I hate to even say it. . . . BANANA sandwhich.

    Oh well. It was still a good day with my dad and good buddy. First time I got skunked in that spot. #$%@^$#$%^# BANANAS!!!

    I did manage to catch 4 schoolie rockfish at another spot on the way back to the ramp.

    There is an ANTI BANANA RITUAL that will alleviate you of the skunk syndrome, it involves dancing around the boat naked, lots of alcahol, fresh fish blood and anything else you can think of...

    There will be other days.. At least you got a few Stripers!!

    I was in Costa Rica once trying to catch some of the Peacock Bass. When the guy running the boat for us pulls bananas for Bait!!
    We couldn't believe it!!
    And we actually caught a few fish on them, no bass though.

    HA HAAA, THIS WILL WORK !! but i think when i last saw it done, there was a gal up the road that was quite involved. "Yes Verginia there is a Santa Claus"

    Yikes ... I had a similar experience when my father in law's new wife packed us a cooler with lunch including the deadly fruit. We headed out for the first fay of a tournament, none the less, and found them in the cooler. We sacrificed them immediately but to no avail. You guessed it ..... SKUNKED! First time ever.
