Good eye Andy....Darrell's hooks are Korean made, 7691s southern tuna style, and conical point....The hooks are made with a low grade of stainless and rust very quickly...However, the points are like no other.
I've found a better southern tuna style hook made by Quick Rig.....same size, same shape, same bite...Howard's southern tuna hook holds an almost true conical point with a high grade of stainless....These hooks rarely ever rust and the points are elongated for better penatration...They are the only hooks I will use for high speed Wahoo trolling.

Funny I didn't know ballyhood had those hooks even though I own a couple of ballyhoods!
Wahooking, where are the quickrig southern tuna available at?
I stock QR's10/0 and 11/0's southern tuna...closed throat (7691s style)...for all my wahoo lure rigs....However, I can get any size QR makes....Also, QR has a custom made southern tuna 7732 style hook...they call it the Dr. J...open throat....large bite....and elongated point....Both hooks are the best of the best in the southern tuna dept.
This year while fishing in a king tournament using #4 wire a#2 live bait nose hook along with a 6x#2 vmc 20lb yo-zuri line we got one of the biggest Whooo I've killed 86lbs in less then 50ft of water.
DO YOU REALLY LIKE THOSE OWNER LONG SHANKS, I THINK THEY ARE GARBAGE ONLY HOOK IVE EVER SEEN TO BREAK ON A FISH. HAD A 150 PLUS BLUEFIN SNAP THE HOOK IN HALF WHEN LEADERING THE FISH. I FEEL FOR TUNA THERE IS NO BETTER HOOK THEN THE SOUTHERN HOOK 7766.
