HOLWACHAGOT FISHING REPORT WITH OH NO SQUID

This will be an ongoing chronicle of OH NO SQUID...until Marty sends us both to banned camp. The report will take a while to formulate. Yours truly will have to be blamed for that. I think a safe place to start would be first light on Friday-8/22/08. This is a short video clip of the early morning Jinx. I knew we were screwed at this point...

Soon you will know why OH NO SQUID recieved his new nickname. For now I will give credit where credit is due...

OH NO did do a pretty good job of picking he bait up after he dumped the bucket over. I had just finished carefully dumping the cast net into the bucket.

OH NO SQUID'S first couple fish..."good eatin size"

We got a couple of real pretty pups to pose for pictures. They made up in pretty what they lacked in size...Crab eater or ocean swimmer, you tell me?

Here is OH NO SQUID'S largest Saltwater Striper to date... A true monster.

Clean up before fishing was the easy part! Clean up after fishing...now that was a different story. Thankfully THE CAPTAIN showed up to supervise and order was restored.



He was not happy in the least with the condition of the boat. The fishbox was completely unacceptable when weighed against the mess made. The flaunting of the keep by SQUID...well that's just one of the reasons he got his nickname. Let me see if I can find those pictures...along with a few other notable catches by OH NO SQUID. Ladies, please remember that OH NO SQUID is already taken. Now, where are those pictures...

We were screwed early on. Bait was too easy. I kept waiting for the motor to blow up or something because we were headed down an oil slick calm creek at greylight with fifty pounds of fresh bunker and mullet still flippin and a livewell full of bunker too. Fresh clams to catch some spades, man we were gonna slay em. That is when I first noticed the first pine lean. OH NO here comes the wind.
We stopped at a spot in the creek I like rather than drive by it because the tide was getting ready to turn. The Flounder were biting for a few minutes but most were shorts. The Drum were not chewing quite yet but we were catching a few. Squid brought up this...

I thought to myself...OH NO here we go again...I decided to give SQUID a little tutorial to help him catch a few more fish.
I know I have the pic of him flaunting the catch around here somewhere.

THE CAPTAIN was furious that SQUID layed a bunch of bait and a few small fish out to dry up in the sun and pose for pictures with. He was supposed to be washing the boat! SQUID was last heard screaming "OH NO" as THE CAPTAIN was throwing him off the dock.





At least OH NO SQUID behaved a little better on this trip to Chesapeake.
