Holden Beach Kings/Dolphin
June 22, 2009
The mahi and king mackerel bite has been great at the shark hole lately. The kings are small, averaging around 8 lbs, with the mahi averaging around 10-12. The Spanish are still thick on the beach, with some large sharks in the same general area. The fishing is red hot right now, so give us a call and let’s go fishing. Sorry I don't have any pics. My camera's broke, and I haven't had a chance to get another one yet.

Lyndon,
Have you heard where the winning King was caught at the Jolly Mon?

Robja, I've heard it was in the river channel. I do know that a couple of good fish came from the shark hole, light house rocks, and yaupon. There were a couple of fish over 30 caught at lighthouse rocks today, and a couple in the mid twenties at the 90's. We fished the shark hole again this morning and limited out on snakes in about an hour and a half, with one 12lb. dolphin thrown in. We went back out there this afternoon, and couldn't keep the hooks in a fish. We ended up spanish fishing off of Holden Beach for the last 45 minutes of the trip and put 39 in the boat. I'm probably going back to the shark hole in the am.
