I went back to the horseshoe today. This morning, the king bite was on fire for the first little bit, then died out. I as getting ready to make a move when I saw a bill behind one of the pogies. Just a second later, it was on. This was one mean sailfish, battling us on the 20 lb. live-bait tackle for over an hour. After snapping a couple of pics, we were able to revive the fish and released it to fight another day. The total tally for the day was 8 king mackere, one sailfish release and another in the spread, and one mahi-mahi. The weather couldn't have been any better.
Way to go Lyndon. You have been tearing the kings up at the shoe. Friends of mine went out there seekend before last and all they got was one king and a bunch of AJ's
Thanks guys. I'd love to fish Capt. Lee's sail tourney this weekend, but we're putting new engine's on the boat. I guess I need to get that done before next week. I've got trips tommorow and friday as well, so I'll be busy rigging this weekend.
