Holden Beach 5-7
I headed to the steeples yesterday morning after hearing of a great dolphin bite on thursday. You know the old saying, you should have been here yesterday. We'll that held true for us. On the troll, we caught 2 blackfin, one aj, and a few false albacore. We jigged for awhile and found a wide open aj bite. One positive note, one of the blackfin was a citation fish at 21lbs. 14 oz. Capt. Ryan Strickland ran a half day charter for me on the Grace May. He fished the 390/390 and found a great king mackerel bite, keeping the boats limit and releasing a few more. On the way back to the inlet, he spanish fished and caught quite a few spaniards as well. There was also a great king bite at Yaupon reef. The Yellow Dog, captained by Zack Shackelton, had 14 king mackerel and one 40 lb. cobia. I have a half day tommorow, and a blue water trip on Monday. I'll let everyone know what's going on.

Nice report Lyndon. Glad to see the kings moving inshore. Try to keep Zack out of trouble. Have you invited him to this site????

I sure have, but I think he's to busy fishing, gigging, etc. to get on the internet. I thought I loved to fish until I met him a few years ago. That boy's got it bad.
