You know its funny, I am surprised how much this girl loves to fish....since its been raining for days this kid has been in my ear to go hit our carp spot. Daddy its pouring...do you think the river is high enough yet?.....3 hours later...how about now?...i hope she stays just the way she is. I knew heading down that we missed our window and the river was on the drop....when it starts dropping out the carp move out of this creek......you can get a few shots but its nothing like the wide open bite than can take place when its right. When the water level is questionable for carp its usually right on for the channel cats in the mouth of the creek...so i tossed some left over chunks of ham from the spiral cut ham we had for dinner into a sandwich bag, grabbed a can of corn and off we went.
The first fish was an average size carp, man they pull some drag.......since i have been letting the Bammer do just about all the cranking lately i decided to pull on this one...hey she cant catch em all Since the carp bite was pretty much over and the Bammer was getting antsy, i re baited with ham to get her on some cats....i wasnt too confident that we would get bit on ham but figured what the hell.....i didnt even get the second rod out before Bammer was hooked up, she went 2 for 6 before the sky opened up and we headed for the barn. I think i created a monster with this kid...next time i want to head out fishing solo i might just have to sneak my gear out of the house to escape the wrath of the girl i didnt take fishing I hope it stays like that forever. Ill call that last pic...crouching Bammer, poised and ready to strike...Ilove it

Thanks a lot fellas, what impresses me most about the Bammer is she is paying attention to the conditions required to fish where we do for the carp.....when the river rises 3-5' its on in a big way ....and she knows it. I took her to a little pond a few weeks ago to mess around a bit and she got a few decent crappies to commit, since they are on their beds spawning they were relativly easy pickings....except that you had to hover the bait infront of them ....pretty much annoying them into eating the bait, the greatest thing was she figured it out herself....and then proceeded to tell me what i was doing wrong and why she was outfishing me She definitly has the instinct, at the pond i see her over by the spillway.....not sure just what the heck she was up to i went over to investigate, here she is trying to snag a little leopard frog.....i asked her what she was up to she said .....Daddy i can see all these bass swimming around and they wont hit my worm......i bet they would gobble this little frog up. The frog evaded the hook and no bass were caught but she was on the right track.
