High water carping

There is a wonderfull thing that happens when the water gets high from a big storm, when no one in their right mind would be on the water is when i hit it, the carp school up in the mouths of small creeks that usually have but a few mere inches of water in them, but when its up there is a few feet of water and they are on the feed, i handed off each bite we had this morning, went 2 for 5 ...i challenge any full grown man to do better than 3 for 5 on these fish...had 3 of em break off 40 lb braid...but my baby ...she's turning 10 in a week beat up 2 of em...one 8 lbs and ane 12 lbs...heres the pics

Hey Bigfish that river you fished it looks like the Perkiomen or is it the Schukill ....am i right ?

I have fished in this area for these carp before and these water ways are loaded with giants as big as 15 to 20+ lbs.

Awsome to see someone post up pics from where I used to spend many hours along the river banks of good ol' Southeast Pennsylvania ... nice pics and congrats

Looking forward to seeing more pics of some action

Dougie...it is the schuylkill, we regularly catch them up to 25 lbs....a few that broke her off were pushing 20, but once they sniff that moving water at the mouth its usually game over, but the girl did good...the smaller one had her around a few trees ....but she put the boots to em and put it on the bank.

This has got to be one of my favorite photos of my daughter, man ill tell you what....there is alot of me in this kid. Shes not just a cranker, she chummed up all of the carp we had bite on sunday....and is becoming quite good at tying the double palomar since i fish heavy braid.....but this picture of her standing watch is one of my favorites, oh the conversations we have, such an amazing little girl...and for her to share the passion for fishing is just icing on the cake.After catching the first carp, i went to get a hand full of corn to toss out and keep the chummin goung, she with all the seriousness in the world says to me "and just what do you think your doing mister"...thats my job, besides i am better at it than you, and since i am so good at it from now on every time you go carp fishing you should bring me, so you can catch fish. Ill tell you what, they grow up fast....but looking at this picture just fills my soul knowing that my little girl is a chip of the old block.
