    High Speed Trolling for Wahoo

Just received some pics from a Marine Biologist friend of mine...They fish out of West Palm Beach, Fl...Rewind back to the yr 2000 and the common thought was Wahoo were a by-catch...A couple of yrs later them boyz found out what High Speed Trolling was all about...Their typical day consist of waking up early, hopping on their boat behind the house, Lines in 15 min. later....High Speed Troll for 1.5 hrs....head back home, shower up and head off to work...What a life!!!

They have it down to a science...And produce fish 70% of the time.

Wahoo feed upon the tides...The stronger the better...Your full and new moon create your strongest tides...Prime Time.

If I were a wahoo...I would have a bounty on your head. Your lures and techniques are deadly to say the least. Appreciate your posting pics and stories.

    Best Catch
The next bite on a jig.
Anthony, on Saturday out of Beaufort we put the high speed stuff out for about 30 minutes and had three bites, catching two fish. Then I put it away, because I didn't want to bring any more home. But there was no doubt that another hour at it would have easily yielded our 3 person limit of 6. We chose to self limit our take though. It should stay good right on through Thanksgiving, with only small bumps handed to us by the storms.

Sea Draggin exactly what lures were you pulling? Does anybody around MHC stock high speed wahoo lures?

They were just some samples I had laying around. Anything pulled about 12-13knots behind a big trolling weight will do it.
