Hiding from the wind

It's been howling winds for the last 3 weeks and cabin fever had set in so we had to go for a fish. it was pissing down and blowing 25knots but There were a few options available to get out of the wind so off we went.

I hopped in when we first got there looking for some crayfish but couldn't find any.... Instead I saw some pan sized snapper so smashed them with the gun and headed back to the boat for a fish.

we had to weed through the smaller fish but we managed a couple of nice snapper.

Snapped my steering cable coming back into the estuary so with a bit of quick thinking we were back safe and sound at the ramp after hand steering the engine for 10 mins.

Nice critters Mozza. I love how their mouth seems to take the shape of a raptor's beak. I can only imagine what a hard bite these fish have!

they smash sea urchins, lobsters shellfish pretty much anything with those chompers...... I have seen what happens when a little one gives you a nip...I dont want to know what a big one would do to you Northern hemisphere forums keep me going over winter.

In all seriousness you may see me sooner than later. Im selling my boat and a few boards and going to head overseas on a mission with a surfboard,backpack and some leadering gloves and to try and catch up with Ryan somewhere....so who knows where I may end up bro
