    Hi-Speed for KingFish

    no, seriously, no joke...

KingFish will hit hi-speed wahoo rigs trolled at 15+ knots and this can be a far more productive kingfish method than a static boat drifting live bait. If the action from drifting is slow try this for a while and maybe locate the fish else where... in a king tournament you only need one fish so by covering more ground you will increase the chances of running over the big one.

We caught all the fish on lures under 12", they did not hit the really big lures. This may have been a coincidence but maybe not. The pearl fade to blue skirted lure was terrorized constantly by wahoos and kings alike.

Unfortunately they will crush bigger baits as well. My first few trips high speeding I was absolutely covered with snake kings. You put it out, they will eat it.

We always tried to avoid the slimy bastards.

One of the biggest I've seen caught was at 16 knots. It was about a 40 pounder.
