Saw this picture and the guy was trying to get an id on it. Caught off an oil platform in Angola. fish weighed between 30-40lbs. looks like a jack but thought you could narrow it down

That fish if it had a real amber color coming out of the water should be the lesser amberjack smaller than the AJ's we get here.
That size would be among the big ones.
If it's a greenish silver color it could be what is called the Carangue du Sénégal found all over the West coast too. Here is a small specimen held by Patrick (Still today that guy always looks so serious when we take his picture!!!)
Have pictures of boat loads of those small aj's somewhere in a box! No worms over there...

Second picture didn't come out but if it goes towards 35 lbs probably the greater AJ, the lesser AJ's are usually around 10 kgs.
Interested to know if they have worms there???
Ask that guy to send a picture of a BIG Guinean Barracuda...
I'll cook it all week!!!!
